Creating an interview

  1. Give yourself time
  2. Find a good place to setup your interview
  3. Set up the positioning of the chairs and camera
  4. Memorize the questions so you don't look at your paper during the interview
  5. Make the interviewee feels comfortable 
  6. Make sure the interviewee is aware of what sort of questions will be asked and explain how the process of it
  7. Keep eye contact with the interviewee
  8. Don't check on your camera too much because it can make the interviewee feel uncomfortable and maybe lose concentration
  9. Make sure you don't break the 180 degree line
  10. Make sure the interviewee is in the foreground of the image and just the shoulders and head is in view and there's a space above the head

White Balance

Two weeks ago we had a lesson about white balnance on a video camera. We learnt this so when the background colours are a little bit too orange or blue you can change it to a natural colour. You can do this by placing a plain white piece of paper in front of the camera lens and changing it in the settings so it is more natural. Also, you can make the background a cooler colour by placing a orange or red coloured paper in front of the lens or by making the background a warmer colour you can place a blue coloured piece of paper in front of the lens. Tilt Shots Tilting the camera upward or downwards is one of the simplest camera techniques. well executed tilting showing some interesting action with a perfect coordination between the camera operator and the action can make an incredibly elegant even though they are simple.
